| The New Manual Safeload Coupler | |
| Fort Vale’s robust and reliable Mk3 Safeload, semi-automatic, bottom loading coupler has had a fantastic first year, proving the worth of attention to detail at the design stage. | |
| The key design feature is the wrap-around triggers, the curve of which matches the form of the adaptor and covers more than 60% of the face. This reduces wear to both components and offers maximum security of connection. The standard Viton seals are suitable for the majority of fuels including bio-diesel. Fort Vale also offer other seal options, one of which was chosen for it's suitability for use with automotive fuels oxygenated with MEOH, ETOH, MTBE etc. This seal type overcomes the seal deterioration problem often associated with fuels containing Ethanol. Many customers handling E5 have found that this seal offers excellent performance, so much so, they have been retro-fitting the seals to the previous model. New for 2008 is the manual version of the Safeload coupler which utilizes the same unique trigger configuration and beneficial features. The double seal arrangement helps to prevent dirt from entering the seal pocket. The tapered lead-in and design of the coupler gives it a smooth action that makes it very easy to connect. The manual Safeload coupler is the ideal solution for skid manufacturers and depots needing a budget solution to bottom loading. Fort Vale is a UK manufacturing company exporting world-wide, with subsidiaries in USA, Europe, Singapore, China and Russia. Also new for 2008 is the latest version of the dump adaptor for fuel tankers. Following initial field trials, this has been honed and refined ready for mass production.
