New relief valve improves tank safety
Flanged low profile 65mm Super Maxi relief valve
Fort Vale is launching a low profile version of its 65mm Super Maxi relief valve which is designed to save space and improve tank container safety.
The new valve has been developed in conjunction with a new design of bursting disc and fits a specific compatible adaptor flange. This valve/disc/flange combination has been independently tested and certified by Lloyds Register as having a flow deration factor of only 1.02%. This certified combined valve/disc flow rate constitutes a significant safety advantage as opposed to the arbitrary 10% deration figure widely accepted by tank users. The low profile Super Maxi is 8mm lower in height than the standard Super Maxi valve. It is available with either a BSP threaded or a flanged connection and is suitable for a pressure range of 5 to 63.8 PSI (0.3 to 4.4 Bar). The valve uses standard O rings which are available at Genuine Fort Vale stockists worldwide. CE marking is available on request.
