F.V. launch high flowing powder tank relief valve

Fort Vale are poised to launch their new “FKS specification” powder blower relief valve which has an impressive certified flow rate to rival any similar valve on the market.
The new valve is manufactured to FKS requirements : for static pressure vessels and road tankers for liquid, granular and powder products. The valve is fully compliant with Module B and D of the Pressure Equipment Directive and may be supplied with the CE mark as well as being accredited with TUV approval. The valve’s most remarkable advantage is its certified flow rate which is one of the highest of any published flow rates of similar valves on the market. Fort Vale valve flow rate at 1 Bar set pressure 1½” BSP - 593 M3/Hr (Certified) 1” BSP - 551 M3/Hr (Certified) Competitor valve flow rate at 1 Bar set pressure 1½” BSP - 449 M3/Hr 1” BSP - 369 M3/Hr The valve is available with 1”BSP, 1¼”BSP, 1½”BSP and 1½”NPT tank connections and is manufactured with an integral cowl on the body which facilitates effective venting. It is supplied with a pre-set spring pod with a silicone membrane seal to prevent powder ingress into the spring housing and incorporates an anti-tamper feature which allows the visual inspection and cleaning of the seal area whilst preventing the valve’s complete disassembly. Contact parts are manufactured in brass and stainless steel. Standard pressure settings are 1, 1.5 and 2 Bar and alternative settings are available. The Blower Relief Valve fits onto the 220/series manifold and filter assembly, available in various configurations with standard connections to accept relief valves, gauges, control valves and hose connections and incorporating the industry-standard filter system. In addition, Fort Vale has designed a special manifold/filter assembly which has the unique feature of allowing filtration of the incoming air supply from the plant or terminal. The extended filter may be accessed and removed easily from the 100mm DIN 11851 connection without the need to dismantle the manifold assembly. Please contact sales@fortvale.com for enquiries.
