| Fort Vale China was set up in 2005 initially with 12 employees and 2 CNC machines to provide support to Fort Vale U.K. Since that time, the facility has experienced many changes and improvements and the company now employs 37 personnel and is equipped with 5 first class CNC machines, high quality test rigs and welding plant as well as other process facilities. |
Fort Vale China now supplies tank equipment to most Chinese tank builders and is also seeking to manufacture certain components locally to meet the demands of this region. All employees are well-trained and the company has been very successful in implementing an excellent quality system which parallels that of its Head Office in the U.K.
In 2006, Fort Vale China rolled out a full valve repair, test and refurbishment service for both gas and liquid tanks to service end users and operators in the China and Asia Pacific areas. In addition, they also installed extensive spare parts stocks to meet with the growing requirement for genuine OEM spare parts from the cleaning depots and repair yards. To keep pace with the growing demands of the market, in December 2007 Fort Vale China will move to adjacent premises at the same location in Shanghai which will afford them double the area of their current factory, demonstrating Fort Vale’s commitment to providing the best quality products and service to this important developing area.
